Boys will be Boys

THUR 1st May 8:30 pm

FRI 2nd May 8:30pm

“You’re not Julia Roberts, I’m not Richard Gere, this is not Pretty Woman, understood.”
Astrid Wentworth is a cunning and cold-city trader, who has strutted her way through a man’s world. She’s used her gender and clever-wit to get a seat at the table and can now sip her dry Martini’s in peace. But when the young and hungry Priya Liu persuades her way into a junior position at PJW. Astrid makes an unnatural decision to help a woman out because like herself at that age, Liu is determined. Not only by money, but to be the best of the best in a man’s world.

Boys Will Be Boys by Melissa Bubnic is a woman-only cast production based in London’s lucrative finance industry. It explores what life is like for women working in these sectors by being completely honest and raw about the misogyny, racism and sexism running rampant in male-dominated fields such as this.

It’s a play to get you thinking and asking questions about the world we live in.
