Ella Dorman-Gajic is a writer, performer and theatre-maker of Serbian and Austrian heritage. Her writing has been described as “impassioned” by The Guardian. Her play Trade premiered at Omnibus Theatre, to multiple 4-star reviews. The play was shortlisted for the Snoo Wilson Prize and Slam Soaps New Writing Competition. Her other theatrical works have been staged at Edinburgh Fringe, The Arcola, Camden People’s Theatre and The Old Red Lion.
As an actor, she starred in the BBC Radio 4 Drama Song of the Reed, alongside Mark Rylance. She has a First Class degree in Scriptwriting & Performance from UEA and she is an alumn of the Roundhouse Poetry Collective, New Writing South’s Young Writers and Apples & Snakes Writing Room. She’s performed her poetry around the UK and co-hosts the sell-out poetry night Off The Chest.
