A Christmas Play?

Mon 11th Dec 7pm

@ Bathway Theatre

’Twas the night before Christmas and all through Bathway Theatre catastrophe was brewing. With actors out of control and directors out of their minds, production on the annual holiday play has been turned upside down. Can the team pull it off? Will it become a Christmas play, or a Christmas catastrophe?

The first year Drama students have been making a show about making a show. The students are responding to the questions: What does it mean to ‘use your voice’ in performance? And how does who you are come into play? Expect monologues, duologues, movement pieces, and ensemble work – and perhaps some festive cheer.

For one evening only, final year Writing for Theatre students will present their original short plays, which span the breadth of time, space, geography and genre to explore what it means to be truly wild; socially, politically and ecologically.
